Map of Quiet is a landscape series inspired by a journey through the coastal regions of Québec — places where cliffs rise from the ocean, seabirds gather in the wind, and lighthouses stand quietly on the edge of the land.

During this trip I encountered landscapes that stayed with me long after leaving them: Bonaventure Island and its bird colonies, rugged coastal cliffs, small fishing villages, and solitary lighthouses watching over the water.

Rather than documenting these places exactly as they appear, the paintings focus on the feeling of being there — the openness of the sea, the movement of wind and birds, and the quiet sense of scale that coastal landscapes create.

Each painting becomes a chapter of that journey — a visual map of moments collected along the road.

Through layered color, soft light, and simplified forms, the series reflects the balance between movement and stillness that defines life along the northern coast.

For me, this collection is also a way of returning to those places — moments where the ocean, wind, and cliffs made time feel slower and the world feel larger.

Each painting is a place I carried with me long after leaving it.
